COMMISSIONING A PORTRAIT:
For answers to your questions about commissioning a portrait with me, I welcome you to visit "Commissions" and "Pricing", and review more examples of my portraiture at http://www.monaconner.com .
Lead time required for a portrait commission is commensurate with the detail and the technique being utilized. For any further questions please contact me at mona@monaconner.com.
A note that on occasion I post drawings from life, as well as drawings of nude models, as it is an important traditional practice which improves my ability in portraiture.

The Framed Self-Portrait

And here is the framing solution which I applied to this miniature painting,"Self Portrait at 34", a lovely gilded wood oval.

This self portrait will be included in an annual international miniature show in Florida.  If you are interested in purchasing it, or in receiving details about this show, please email me.

  2. Hello Mona,

I really like this portrait, its a very 'deep' image. How you have painted your eyes really holds a connection with the viewer of this painitng.

Where did you get the frame from? Within the UK I am struggling to find frames.

    Thank you

    Victoria :)

  3. Hi Victoria, thank you, I was hoping it resonated this way so I appreciate your comment.

Although it's not typical, I bought this particular frame from a local gift shop here in Brooklyn, NY. I got lucky, because it was exactly the size oval that I needed. But one nice resource in the UK that I know of for mini-frames is Polymers Plus. Do you know about them? Here is the online link: http://www.polymersplus.co.uk (click on frames at left).
